At a glance

The institution was established in 1969 AD by the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh with the aim of modernizing technical and vocational education and training, developing human resources, achieving economic prosperity and improving the standard of living. The institution under the Directorate of Technical Education of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of Bangladesh was first established as Brahmanbaria Vocational Training Institute: however, it was converted into Brahmanbaria Government Technical School and College from the year of 1995 with the aim of integrating Technical Education with General Education. At present, the institute offers hands-on teaching in four trades of HSC (Vocational) and SSC (Vocational) courses in two shifts under the Board of Technical Education. Additionally, it has added new dimensions through offering JSC (Vocational) including Grades such as Eight, Seven and Six. The institute has been running diploma engineering course for the past few years but it is currently closed. Besides, 5 profession short courses have been launched at present.
